Board of Regents

The Washington State University Board of Regents is the University's governing body whose broad responsibilities are to supervise, coordinate, manage and regulate the WSU system, as provided by state statute. The Board of Regents consists of 10 members, one of whom is a student.

Meeting UpDates

The next Regular Meeting of the Board is scheduled for May 8-9, 2014, in Pullman, Washington. The agenda and materials will be available Friday, May 2, 2014.

The Regents will provide a public comment period at each regular meeting of the Board. Sign up using the on-line Request to Provide Public Comment form, available at noon on Friday, May 2, 2014.

Former PNNL director appointed as WSU regent
Lura J. Powell, former director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and a long-standing leader in the U.S. research and technology community, is the newest member of the Washington State University Board of Regents.

WSU regents extend President Floyd’s contract to 2021
The Washington State University Board of Regents today voted to extend the contract of WSU President Elson S. Floyd until June 30, 2021. Floyd requested that his compensation remain unchanged at this time.
