Lisa Keohokalole Schauer
Lisa Keohokalole Schauer was appointed to the Board of Regents in October, 2018. She is president of PointNorth Consulting, a leadership development consultancy, and is the former chair of the Washington State University Vancouver Advisory Council.
Regent Schauer has broad experience working in government, private industry, and not-for-profit organizations. She has served in a variety of leadership roles in the Vancouver area, including as vice president of business development, senior vice president, and chief operating officer of MacKay Sposito, a civil engineering and land surveying company.
She is also past president and current board director for the Children’s Center of Vancouver, which provides mental health services to families, and co-founder and chair of H-RoC, the Hand that Rocks the Cradle Rules the World. The independent, nonpartisan, political action committee formed to advance women leaders in southwest Washington. She is also an adjunct instructor at Portland State University and Clark College, teaching communications strategies.
Regent Schauer holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership and learning from George Washington University and bachelor’s degrees in public relations and political science from Gonzaga University. She is a certified Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) facilitator and also a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) by the Society of Marketing Professional Services. In addition, she has completed a certificate program in the Foundations of Public Participation, Planning, and Techniques from the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2).
