Lisa Keohokalole Schauer

Lisa Keohokalole Schauer was appointed to the Board of Regents in October 2018. She is president of PointNorth Consulting, a strategic communication and organizational development firm. She is also a member of the Washington State University Vancouver Advisory Council.

Regent Schauer’s private industry experience includes working for government, not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. She has served in a variety of executive leadership roles including serving as chief operating officer and was a major shareholder at MacKay Sposito, a civil engineering, construction management and land surveying company.

Regent Schauer currently serves as a member of the leadership Board for Partners in Diversity and a member of the national Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). She is a former member of the Board of Director’s for the Columbia River Economic Development Council, Children’s Center, Association of Washington Businesses, Columbia Credit Union, and the Clark College Foundation. Regent Schauer has taught Public Relations, Crisis + Image Communications at Portland State University and Small Group Communications at Clark College.

Regent Schauer holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership and learning from George Washington University and bachelor’s degrees in public relations and political science from Gonzaga University. Her continuing education includes certificates for trauma-informed facilitation, Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) facilitation, and the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). In addition, she has completed a certificate program in the Foundations of Public Participation, Planning, and Techniques from the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2).
