Shain Wright, is a Queer Activist Scholar, with a research focus in Higher Education, particularly regarding access, persistence, and support for traditionally excluded students and communities. Shain is currently a second year student in the Cultural Studies and Social Thought in Education Ph.D. program at Washington State University. Shain holds a Masters in Public Administration from The Evergreen State College, and attended WSU Vancouver for their undergraduate. As an undergrad, Shain was heavily involved on campus, in the Diversity Center, and served as the Vancouver campuses’ 25th Student Body President. As a WSU alum, and current student, Shain is honored to serve on the Board of Regents as a student representative, where Shain’s goal is to amplify student voices and help students across the WSU system gain a better understanding of the Board of Regent’s ongoing work.
