Office: Member (Student Regent)
Term Expires: June 30, 2020
Johanna Pantig was appointed to the Board of Regents on July 1, 2019 by Washington Governor Jay Inslee. She is a fourth-year student in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at WSU Health Sciences in Spokane. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from WSU Pullman in May 2016.
Pantig said her interest in leadership began when she chaired committees at her Chi Omega sorority in Pullman. Since then she has led the Associated Students of Washington State University Health Sciences (ASWSUHS) as well as the Student Government Council.
She worked with other members of the ASWSUHS leadership on a bill to enhance training opportunities for health sciences students, which was signed into law by Gov. Jay Inslee in May 2019.
As Student Regent, Pantig said she wants to use her position to advocate for all WSU students, including those attending online through the Global Campus.
